What we’re about
Alamo Python is part of the PyTexas network of Python user groups. We are focused at providing in person training and social events to help grow the San Antonio Python community. We are proud to be a part of the DevSA community of San Antonio technology user groups.
We are aiming to have bi-monthly (every 2 months) social meetups and tech talks. These will be in person. Our tech talks will be aimed at getting hands on with coding techniques, tricks, using packages, and cover the gamut of professional, business, hobby, AI, and game programming. We are also hoping to have an extended meeting once per quarter where will will aim to drill deeper into different programming areas.
We have an online presence on the DevSA Discord Server as well as the PyTexas Discord Server. As part of PyTexas, our members will be introduced to the Austin, Houston and DFW Python user groups as well as the annual PyTexas conference.
We are always looking for local speakers so let us know if you would like to present at one of our events.

Topic: Lint Fast, Type Hard: Elevate your code quality in Python with modern, ultra-fast tooling
Writing clean, reliable Python code can feel overwhelming, especially when teams worry that quality tools will slow them down. This talk explains core concepts such as SAST, SCAT, and SCA. In addition, it introduces ultra-fast tools like Ruff and Ty that make formatting, linting, and type checking simple and almost instantaneous. You will learn an easy, step-by-step way to adopt these tools so you can keep your code readable, reduce surprises, and build better Python projects with confidence..5 attendees from this group
