This group is operated by the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission and Friends of the Pine Bush Community March 7, 2022.
Come join us as we explore a globally rare ecosystem right here in the Capital District! This group is for anyone interested in local environmental conservation, outdoor recreation, and learning new things. Our gatherings range from volunteering in the preserve to hikes, bike rides, and more! Meet-up with us to enjoy socializing with others who enjoy the Albany Pine Bush Preserve.

Book Club - Finding the Mother Tree by Suzanne Simard

Join us for a discussion on “Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest” by Suzanne Simard.

If the weather is pleasant bring a camp chair and meet us outside the Discovery Center. If the weather isn’t in our favor we’ll discuss via Zoom.

Synopsis: “From the world's leading forest ecologist who forever changed how people view trees and their connections to one another and to other living things in the forest--a moving, deeply personal journey of discovery.”
