(Cancelled) Trail Walk in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve

This walk is cancelled because of the COVID-19 emergency. However, as a reminder about the 12/20 Mile Challenge, you can hike preserve trails on your own or with friends during the coming weeks. Upon completing all 12 trails you can turn in your trail record at a later date and pick up your sticker when the Discovery Center re-opens.

Join the Friends of the Pine Bush Community on Friday, March 27 at 6pm for a walk in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. Meet at the Discovery Center for a one hour walk on a section of Karner Barrens East trail. The walk will be easy to moderate and will take you over rolling sand dunes where you may see some signs of spring, including possible early sightings of returning woodcocks. This walk is a great way to start your 20-Mile Challenge or add to the miles you may have hiked already.

Bring hiking shoes, long pants tucked into socks, and water.

Reservations are needed. If more than 15 people sign up, we'll divide into two groups and walk separate trails.
