Herb Walk & Deep Dive Tea! Bring all your herb questions!
Come out and learn about your local edible and medicinal plants! The earth is starting to tuck in for fall, but we can still talk about all the plants. Then we'll gather round the kitchen table tasting teas and answering every herbal question you ever had! :) We'll talk about: 🌿What's edible and what's not 🌿What plants are good for what (cold and flu, digestion, sleep and anxiety, hormones, deep nutrition, etc) 🌿How to use and process your herbs: why tea vs. oil vs. tincture, and how to keep it simple 🌿The best and most helpful book for our area, in the field and in the kitchen 🌿Foraging sustainably 🌿All your questions! And if you dont know if you have any, this will be a great space to learn from others who might be a little further down the herbal path than you. My goal is great herbal conversation that leaves you feeling capable and inspired! :) We've got at least 25 plants to talk about right here in the yard so we'll just be walking around my little acreage. I live 25 minutes SE of the Edmonton city limits. Lets plan to be outside for about 1.5-2hrs. This walk is suitable for all fitness levels. Please dress for the weather. After that, we'll move into my little cozy cabin kitchen, where we can drink all kinds of tea! Here we'll do the deep dive and answer as many questions as you've got. Its all the things YOU want to talk about. Please bring your notebook, your camera phone, and a favorite mug for tasting! The cost is $40/adult

    What we're about

Come out and learn about local edible and medicinal plants! Events will include herb walks, workshops, and social events. The group is organized by a local herbalist living next to Ministik Bird Sanctuary (25min SE of Edmonton) but many events will be held in the city and surrounding natural areas too. We're so lucky where we live with all that nature has to offer and we'd love to have you join us for good conversation and a walk through the forest! You're also welcome to join us in our Facebook group. This is where we share recipes and follow up information based on questions that get asked during the walks that we cant answer on the spot as a group.
