What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to support both local readers and local writers in sharing great works in any genre.
This is YOUR group so please share your suggestions for how the group can be of help to you.
Here are some of my suggestions for starters:
1. Book review sessions. You suggest a book you'd like to share and see who would like to join you.
2. An entertainment hour in which local authors share their writing with readers. Think "Desert Home Companion" - a Zoom-based show with music, humor, and performances of stories, including local authors and performers..
3.Critique sessions for authors to share their work. Readers would be welcome to attend.
Check the website and your email for notices of events like the above.
Special Note for Readers:
Feel free to write to the group and talk about your favorite books and authors. Keep an eye on the website for events.

If you have a website, let me know and I'll post it. If you'd like to participate in a critique group or an entertainment hour, let me know.
Personally, I'm interested in Sci-Fi/Fantasy and, in particular, authors in those genres who write with a good sense of humor. I'm thinking of authors such as Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Kage Baker, Connie Willis, Jasper Fforde, Jonathan Stroud and ?? (your faves???)
I'm also a writer and those authors have inspired me. Please feel free to check out my own writings on my website. They fall into the category of humorous sci-fi/fantasy.
