What we're about
The future of work is slowly awakening. Although no one can know with certainty what will come, many have forecasted significant changes – not in decades, but in a few years. Adding to matters, we will be living longer. Co-authors of The 100 Year Life, Lynda Gratton and Andrew Scott, posit that the traditional notion of a three-stage approach to our working lives – education, work, retirement – is already being turned upside down. We have to challenge our basic premises about work.
It seems daunting – but that is one lens and it is certainly reasonable to feel this way. But the other lens is one of empowerment and can be exciting. Similar to how a well-managed company prepares for the future, we can too as individuals. But the path is not linear. Rather, it looks a lot like innovation. Innovation, applied to self. With the right mindset, techniques, and community to support us we can prepare for the future of work. If you’re interested in preparing for the future of work and learning more about how to apply innovation practices to self, then this is the group for you.
