Café y plática en Urth Caffé (Pasadena)

Now that the weather is cool we're returning to Urth Caffé (http://www.urthcaffe.com/) (yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/urth-caff%C3%A9-pasadena-2) in Pasadena. They have a wide selection of coffee, tea, sandwiches, soups, salads, and desserts.

Usually we're seated in a separate room which is across the courtyard from the main room where the cashiers are taking orders. From the courtyard, the door to enter our room is behind the fountain and the staircase leading up. You can also enter this room directly from the sidewalk on Madison, between the outdoor seating area and the parking lot. If that room is full, they may put us in the outdoor sidewalk area, with heaters and umbrellas to keep us comfortable.

You can probably find free parking on nearby streets (I usually have good luck on Union Ave. one block north of Colorado). The Playhouse lot south of the cafe on Madison is close by - it costs $1.50 per hour, though.
