Our mission is to encourage the study of French language and to promote and enhance the knowledge and appreciation of French and Francophone cultures through educational programs and cultural events. Our goal is to promote understanding and friendship among people who share these interests.

This historic train, also known as the “Forty and Eight,” was a gift from the people of France to the United States in 1949, as a gesture of gratitude for American aid during and after World War II. During the tour, you’ll learn about the train’s unique history, its cultural significance, and the stories behind this extraordinary symbol of friendship between France and America. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice your French while exploring a piece of shared history in a meaningful and engaging setting.
