What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
All we are saying is... Give Poetry A Chance! Give Poetry A Chance is a Liverpool based initiative providing a platform for local poets. Our aim is to try and create and maintain a community for aspiring poets to thrive in, instead of seeing many one off events come and go. Liverpool was once the forefront for revolutionary poets, a revival is well overdue. Our free event will take place downstairs in The Jacaranda. Poets from all walks of life are welcome to our events and all styles of poetry can be performed (Please note that this is not an open mic event). Please contact us if you're interested in performing your poetry at our next event: Email: [masked]
*** Hi Guys, I'd like to cancel this event as I had forgotten that Daniel's MeetUp is on the same day, sorry about that! Given that we are still a small group I don't think we should have two events on the same night. ** Description This free workshop will cover the essentials of roadside bike maintenance including puncture repair, gear adjustment and an introduction to tools. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cycle-republic-liverpool-roadside-maintenance-workshop-wednesday-19th-june-tickets-62702131764 Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/orderconfirmation/62702131764/960890893/AA6ItQNYYh-htgEGvjU_8_dqqPA1YfEwAw/
OUTPUT gallery is for many things but everything it does is for Merseyside. It exists to support the development, mobility and visibility of the local art scene here and one of the ways we try to make that happen is through our regular Art Socials. These are open get-togethers where you can grab a soft drink or something stronger from the Kazimier Gardens next door and hang out in the gallery, connecting with artists, writers, designers, arts workers or lovers, and some of the people behind our city's institutions in a casual setting. Put faces to names and names to faces. The tighter we are as a scene, the more we can share opportunities, help each other progress, and enjoy being part of a creative community here in the north west. This year, our four art socials are happening 6-9pm on: 1. Wednesday 24 April This first Art Social will focus on funding, sharing information on applying for funding through Arts Council England and will show OUTPUT's own successful application as an example. 2. Thursday 27 June 3. Friday 23 August 4. Sunday 13 October Feel free to come along - it's free and there's no booking required. OUTPUT is a gallery working exclusively with creatives from or based in Merseyside. The programme is supported using public funding by Arts Council England. The gallery is accessible via four steps, and we have a wheelchair ramp that can be requested by pressing the bell outside our front door. The bathrooms, which we share with the Kazimier Gardens next door, are not wheelchair accessible - our apologies. Premier Inn on Hanover St have agreed to allow OUTPUT visitors use of their accessible bathroom. PLEASE select 27th of June: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/art-socials-at-output-gallery-tickets-60125055660
