What we're about

There are a lot of different parties/club events and things to do out there apart from the normal pubs and clubs and this group will take you there. Weekends we often do clubby nights with a festival or kinky ethos - music tends to be electro/electroswing/drum n bass, week nights will have everything from spoken word to musical bingo to hip hop karaoke.

A lot of the places we've been I have blogged about already here (and have a list of places we've been/will go to under Clubbing and Things to Do):

http://ginglelistseverything.blogspot.co.uk (http://ginglelistseverything.blogspot.co.uk/) or also my most recent blog: http://jaminaward.wixsite.com/gingleslistings

Almost every meetup will start with a few drinks somewhere so we can congregate and get to know each other before moving on to the venue.

Suggestions welcome... but please make sure they fit with the ethos of the group. If an event wouldn't make someone go 'oh, that's different/weird/how the hell did they come up with that one?' then it's probably not for this group. Run it by me first so I can either add it myself if I can go, or ensure that you can host it and it doesn't just get added as a listing. This isn't Time Out!

I am asking members to contribute £3.00 to the running of this group. Besides the time and effort involved, I'm charged £140 by Meetup EACH YEAR to run the group so any help is appreciated.

PM:AM launch night *PREMEET 9 30 Redchurch brewery

I'm proud to say we have a history of supporting our members when they get creative and put themselves out there whether that be burlesque or improv or whatever! Well, one of our own, Richard Hurst, is putting on his very own clubnight for the first time. Raving may not be that 'alternative' but when it's done with the right ethos it can be, and, knowing what Richard has in mind, that's what we're going to get. Think festivally vibes, lots of visuals and little touches that push it beyond an ordinary clubnight. Plus great music. Tickets are £9, FB link (which has the eventbrite link) here: https://www.facebook.com/events/281174842731640/?active_tab=about Exact location to be announced closer to the time, but it's in the Bethnal Green environs. Richard is one of the co-organisers with the London Raving Meetup so this will be a joint meetup with them!

Secret Theatre Project

Needs a location

We went to their very first run and it wasn't amazing but had some potential. So I think it's time to see how they've grown! Secret Theatre invites you to one of London’s most opulent and historic venues for an immersive thriller where the audience will have the power to decide the evening’s outcome. A serial killer has been on the loose. The police think they have their man. The making of a murderer. A notorious, dangerous psychopath. But is he guilty? Silence of the Lambs meets Black Mirror in Secret Theatre Project’s new world stage premiere. Fresh from a sell-out run of Secret Theatre Singapore, the team are back in London with an epic new immersive courtroom thriller. Investigate scenes, interview the accused, have your say. Immerse yourself in the trial of the century! Also available on the night is a pre-dinner at our wonderful award-winning on site restaurant. I have bought show-only tickets. And they're selling fast!
