What we're about

About the 'Amazing Unique Tours'

For over 30 years I have placed the magnificent and outstanding, weird and wonderful, exciting and rare, something unique and different, into something I have created, called 'Amazing Unique Tours' It covers the British Isles and I have placed each tour into their own County. Over the long time period, I have written down information on pieces of paper, from books and newspapers, from people, from TV, Radio, and magazines, also researched and accumulated information from the Web and travelled relentlessly through the UK, compiling everything I have heard and seen into giant dusty Volumes!

For Example:

Every unchanged unique historical pub in the UK (only 3 or 4 historical pubs left of National Importance per county on average), they look completely different from historical pubs or any pubs we normally see.

Outstanding walks, amazing scenery and locations

Interesting cafes, Aladins caves, rare shops and oddities along the way

Every famous grave of well know people, ex-Prime Ministers, and Royalty

Chosen only unique English Heritage, NT, Historic Homes, beautiful lost unseen Historic Churches

Lakes, views, hidden alleyways, quaint cobbled lanes, lost areas, buildings and places that time forgot

Quaint Museums, Cathedrals, Palaces, Towns, Villages, Monastries, Roman Forts, Viking, Saxon settlements

Civil War Battlefields, Scottish Clans, Lochs, Brooks, Streams, Mountain Ranges, Homes of the Well known

Famous Filming locations, famous happenings took place, landscapes that were painted or written about

It will be expensive because of Minibus hire, driver, insurance and tour guide (more of a light-hearted tour guide approach) research trailing route for beautiful scenic, historical or interesting locations.

Each exclusive tour will only allow 10 people on a 17 seater minibus so everyone has their own seat, so plenty of time to chat with other members at a safe distance, or be at peace to view by oneself the passing scenery en route between the tour stops.

You will be in safe hands, the minibus will be a PSV operated licensed minibus which is fully insured, PSV licensed driver with Enhanced DBS check, myself as an experienced tour guide and also enhanced DBS checked.

'Quality is not expensive, it is Priceless!'

I really look forward to welcoming you to our 'Amazing Unique Tours!'

Sincerely, Kevin

Boozy Walks - Historical Riverside Pub Crawl & some historical magical wonders!

FULLY BOOKED SORRY

About 3 miles linear walking along the mighty River Thames but will take about 4 hours as we are drinking alcoholic drinks on a wonderful Sunday lunchtime in some amazing historical pubs along the River Thames!! Out of thousands of pubs in London there were only over 160 truly historic pubs left in London when I started leading tours 15 years ago. Now there are under a 100 pubs (only 82 pubs left now on last count) For a pub to be historically authentic and of regional national importance, it must contain original glass windows, original bar and decor, no TV's, fruit machine, pool tables, the real deal.

This is an exclusive event of only 15 members allowed out of 10,000 members! Pub opens at 12pm I will be leaning against the front door waiting for the doors to open. Nearest Station is Rotherhithe Overground Station but Canada Water on the Jubilee Line is not far walking, the walk will end on the other side of the Thames at Tower Hill Station.

Not only that we have some other gems thrown in, where some of the Pilgrims set sail on the Mayflower ship, the captain of the Mayflower is buried in the local churchyard, the names and messages from the crew written on the walls, the old warehouses, remains Edward III Manor House, Mudlarkers, where Captain Cook prepared his Australian voyage and Samuel Pepys drank, where the 'Fighting Temeraire' was painted by J.W Turner coming in to be hauled and scrapped, where Charles Dickens described this as the poorest in London, Butler's Whaft and the amazing Shad Thames, it is an incredible area and if you have not been to this area you are in for a stunning treat of such a beautiful and stunning historical area.

Boozy Walks - Historical Riverside Pub Crawl and some magical wonders, there are no free drinks, as an exclusive event cost is higher.

Secret London – Hidden World of the Isle Of Dogs, Mudchute and Island Gardens

£5 cash payment on the day, 2 or 4 or 7 mile walk. There is almost a secret giant Peninsula that lies below Canary Wharf, so rare that most Londoners have never been there. Underneath Canary Whaft there is the beautiful Mudchute Farm, the largest urban farm in Europe where we will see up close alpacas, donkeys, miniture horses & much more (stop for a drink and cake if cafe open).

See where Isambard Kingdom Brunel famous SS Great Eastern set sail, the launching docks are amazingly still there since Victorians times!

We will see other amazing hidden gems, visit the London Docklands museum with the history of the London Docks or an excellent Georgian dockside pub option, visit these giant docks which were once home to the East & West India companies. Britain was the most powerful nation on Earth and the docks were part of this colossal network

We will walk above a train station where there are giant rooftop gardens, with exotic trees and species around the World

There are still giant anti-aircraft World War 2 guns in place from the attack of the Luftwaffe, view stunning Greenwich from the other side looking at the Maritime Museum & the Cutty Sark, visit the practically unknown area of Isle of Dogs & Island Gardens and also we have an amazing walk along the River Thames back to Canary Whaft.

Please note: Only 7 mile walk contains SS Britain docks, River Thames walk and WW2 memorial. 4 mile is a linear walk ending at Island Gardens Station. 2 mile is roof garden, hidden gem and museum circular.

The Museum of London Docklands explains the history of the River Thames, the growth & the docks historical link to the Atlantic slave trade. The museum is an early-19th century Georgian "low" sugar warehouse built in 1802.

The Isle of Dogs was originally marsh, being several feet below water at high tide. In 1660 the river started to break through the neck of the peninsula.

The name "Mudchute" derives from it being the former dumping ground for mud dredged from the Millwall Docks in the 1800's. In the 1970's the land was down for redevelopment but the locals fought hard & we are extremely lucky to have almost a countryside rural setting at Mudchute.

Canary Whaft Station Toilets are in the Jubilee Place Mall, turn left at ‘Cos’ walk along the main corridor, turn left before the escalator, where there is an alcove. It is where the ‘Photo Me’ Booth is situated.
