What we're about
Upcoming events (5+)
Come on out, have some laughs and throw some axes. With a group between 13 and 24 people we will have four lanes of targets and will probably be throwing for 2 - 2.5 hours. They do serve some food and beer/wine at the venue and/or anyone interested can head to one of the pubs/restaurants in the area afterward. This will also be cross posted in Anything But Couches and Stay Active, Work Out and Have Fun in Calgary- any guests attached to my profile will be from those groups. Sorry, about this section, but I have been burned before. Cost is $45 per person. This is the fee charged by the venue. Since I have already put down a deposit this needs to be prepaid unless we have already met and I can trust you to show up. If you end up cancelling any excess money will be returned- so, if you cancel but we still end up with enough attendees, you get a full refund. If you cancel and we end up with less than enough attendees to cover the min. cost, I will take enough of the money to cover what I paid upfront and everyone who paid and cancelled will get an equal share of what is left. Basically, I don't make any money from this, but I am not willing to lose a lot of money either. On that note, if we don't have a critical mass of attendees a week before the event, it will be cancelled and all money will be refunded. Email transfers can be made to [masked] [you will be moved to the waitlist until payments are made]

We'll be meeting at Monogram [please note the address- we are in the SW near Marda Loop] to converse and play some board games, so there will be a variety of coffee and other drinks, conversations as interesting as the people present choose to be and some fun games to play [I'll bring along Smallworld and a number of others]. If we end up with 6-8 people, we will probably play a couple of different games at different tables. If there is lots of interest I am happy to run this more than once a month. Also willing to host at my house if people prefer more of a potluck and BYOB style.
