Amazon Hackathon
Join Amazon at Glasgow University for our first UK hackathon
Friday 30th - Saturday 31st March
Amazon has a saying “Work Hard. Have Fun. Make History”. Hackathons encapsulate this ethos; a 24 hour opportunity to get together with other hackers and see how much you can really achieve when you push yourselves. A collective of hackers riding the edge of sleep deprivation and a whole lot of caffeine can create some truly spectacular results.
Ever been tempted to see what you can achieve if you push the envelope?
The Hack:
Build a working demo of something cool (for Amazon). This can be anything you want, e.g. a mobile app, interactive UI, website feature, traffic driver, big data tool.
The Rules:
Teams have 20 hours to go from idea to working code.
Teams must present a 3 minute working demo on Saturday 31st March.
Anarchy rules – No limit on API, language or ideas. Come up with something awe-inspiring!
Attendees must be University of Glasgow or University of Strathclyde students (including postgrads).
