What we’re about
The Amazon Web Services User Group (Adelaide) is a group dedicated to cloud services provided by Amazon. Because we are specific to Amazon Web Services (AWS), we can go deep into some of the technical services provided by AWS and get some really great insights into how their services work. If you want to put your application in the cloud and have already chosen AWS, or if you already have applications in the AWS cloud, then this is a great group to get helpful insights and advice from other group members.
The AWS User Group is not affiliated with any organisations and is independent from Amazon.

See all- Modernising Digital Infrastructure for Australia's Evolving Power GridCORE Innovation Hub Adelaide, Adelaide
Hi All - our next event is at Core Innovation Hub on the 17th of June.
From Trial to Critical Infrastructure: Scaling Solar with SwitchDin. Join us to hear Ian Griffiths share the real-world journey of a small team who helped SA Power Networks turn a bold idea into a game-changing grid innovation. Discover how a humble EC2 instance powering a pilot evolved—without downtime—into a mission-critical system managing thousands of solar inverters, now enshrined in SA connection rules as "Flexible Exports."
We’ll dive into the lessons of scaling under startup constraints, balancing costs, surviving shifting standards, and engineering for reliability in an evolving energy landscape. Along the way, you'll gain insights into the future of our power grid—and what it takes to keep the lights on as clean energy takes center stage.
As always - this is one not to miss! Oh, plus beer and pizza.
See you there,
RickOn behalf of the team (Chris, Andy, Nicole, Bethany)
