Talk # 1 – EKS Security via an AWS VPN
Speaker: Aseef Ahmed (LinkedIn)
Session Overview: In this Session, we will give a quick walkthrough on securely accessing EKS with AWS Client VPN endpoint and AWS SSO. In this session, we will take an approach to understanding how to set up an AWS VPN Endpoint to secure your EKS clusters. We will cover topics such as creating a VPN endpoint, configuring AWS SSO, and troubleshooting common issues. By the end of this workshop, you will have the knowledge and skills to confidently implement these security measures in your own EKS environment.
About Aseef (in his own words): As an AWS Authorized training instructor and holder of 10 AWS certifications, I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with the rest of the world. With over 5 years of experience in the cloud industry and a focus on the public sector for the last three years, I am well-equipped to guide you through the complex world of cloud computing. I have closely worked with government agencies such as MSD, Land Information NZ, NZTA, and MOH, among others, and understand the unique challenges and requirements of the public sector. Whether you're new to the field or looking to expand your knowledge, I am confident that my insights and expertise will be of great value to you.
