What we’re about
This group is specifically for ambitious Black, Brown, Latina, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Native American women who are looking for a community where genuine connections, friendships, personal development and professional networking are all taking place.
If you're shy, introverted, struggle with networking, or have social anxiety come through! Most of our events are small and very approachable. This is also a safe space for BIPOC transgender and non-binary folks. You're welcome here and kindness is big with us.
If you'd like to see more events in Meetup, become an Ambitious Women of Color Association Member today! It's for working professionals and business owners alike. It's a fraction of the cost of a Chamber of Commerce, and benefits include being in our searchable directory, discounts on Association event tickets, hosting events here and being promoted in our Instagram account, and more!
The foundation of our Meetup group is as follows:
1. COMMUNITY AND RELATIONSHIPS
2. FUN AND PLAY
3. PERSONAL, BUSINESS, AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT - Nephresha (founder and organizer) is a Wellness-centered Life, Business, and Career coach who is obsessed with helping her clients and AWOC Association and Meetup Members create lives overflowing with Fulfillment, Love, Health, and Wealth.

I will be near the Civic Center/Grand Park Metro Station on the corner of Hill and First from 3:30-4:00pm. We'll do basic introductions and enter the festival from there. I'm hard to miss, I'm over 6 feet tall. The festival goes until 9, but I may cut out early.
Public transport or uber might be a good idea.
I purchased a VIP ticket, but you don't have to. But **you DO have to purchase tickets ahead of the event. Purchase your tickets here! **FYI The website is saying "Last Call" for general admission tickets, and the price for VIP tickets has gone up since a couple weeks ago.
- Coffee TalkSip & Sonder, Inglewood, CA$15.00
Coffee Talk typically sells out fast! Please only RSVP if you're 100% sure you can make it. Fee is non-refundable!
Coffee Talks are where we speak our BIG moves and intentions into existence together! This AWOC Classic is facilitated by Nephresha, AWOC Founder and wellness-centered business consultant.
Sip & Sonder is super fly Black Women-owned coffee shop in Inglewood that has amazing drinks and treats. Please plan on supporting the business that we'll be meeting at during our time together, it's just good karma. :)
Bring your journal and/or day-planner for tracking progress and setting intentions. The goal is to do these more consistently in 2025 since it's always such a meaningful event for our attendees.
Because there is limited space available, and this particular event literally changes people's lives (we got receipts y'all), the $15 non-refundable RSVP fee goes towards ensuring all of the women highly motivated to be a part of this special event can attend.
