What we're about
The Greater Oakland Charter Chapter of ABWA was founded in September, 2000. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month and begin with networking at 6:00 pm, introductions at 6:15 pm, followed by a program on a business or market relevant topic at 6:30 pm and concluding with a short business meeting and dinner. Meetings are currently Hybrid and held at a local restaurant. In-person attendees select their dinner from the restaurant's menu and pay for their own food & drink, including tax & tip. Those unable to join us in-person are welcome to connect via Zoom. Pre-registration is required to attend in-person and virtually. Cost is FREE for virtual meeting attendees.
As a member of ABWA, you are part of an Association with 70 years of experience in leadership, diversity, education and national recognition for business women. Our members include working women from a variety of professions. Our fundraising activities allow us to provide educational opportunities for our members and offer scholarships to women in our community.
