This is a busy week at the Ames MakerSpace.
Group Project(s):
Aquaponic Garden:
-> Check up on fish
-> Work on temperature logger and harvest prediction
Brewing:
-> Separate water-heater from mashtun and automate it.
-> Oatmeal Stout batch is now brewing
-> What should the next batch be?
Web Development:
-> Working as a group through Python-flask tutorials
-> Discuss HTML5, CSS and/or jQuery basics
-> Advanced: discuss design patterns (Datamapper vs ActiveRecord)
Floppy Drive Synthesizer:
-> Install new floppy drive cables
-> Get 4 floppies working simultaneously
-> Modify software to turn floppies into live midi instrument
Ongoing Individual Projects:
Ryan J. is turning a popcorn popper into a coffee roaster.
Steven L. is building a CMS using php-activerecord, QueryPath and Bootstrap.
Nitin G. is working on interactive timeline maps for Ames using MapStory.
Steven 0. is building a CNC machine.
Alex R. is using software to read ODB2 codes to diagnose problems and fix his car.
Matt M. is building an event-map site in Drupal7.
