Sept 4: Hot Summer Night at Mirabeau

Details

Hi!

Are you enjoying summer yet? I have already enjoyed a couple of BBQs in the Pacific Northwest and hope to see some more in Amsterdam West (or East) before the end of summer.

What I also hope to see before the end of summer is at least 2 Amsterdam UX Cocktail Hours! I'll soon start planning one to coincide with The Web and Beyond (http://www.thewebandbeyond.nl/), aiming for the evening of Tuesday, September 25.
But first the edition mentioned in the subject line: Let's get together for an evening of learning, sharing, networking and socializing. The learning part for this edition will be provided by an employee of our hosts Mirabeau. Paul Versteeg, senior interaction designer, will share his experiences with a content-first and modular-design based approach at defining interactions. He believes that when interaction designers focus on the high-level issues, the design team, including visual and front-end designers, can be more effective.

Mirabeau's centrally located office on Weteringschans (across from the old Heineken Brewery, wink-wink) has room for approximately 30 members of the UX Community plus some members of the Mirabeau UX team. So you will have to be quick to respond to this message. Check your calendar for September 4 and decide if you want to come.

Here's the summary:

What: Amsterdam UX Cocktail Hour
When: Tuesday, September 4, 2012
Time: 18:00 - 21:30
Theme: Defining The Damn Thing
Where: Mirabeau Amsterdam Centrum, Weteringschans 165, 1017 XD, Amsterdam (look for signs for "New Business School")
RSVP: yes, please, via Meetup.com

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
