π£οΈ Talks details
# Pavel Shchegolev β You don't need a ${library_name} -- Browser APIs will do it for you!
This is an episode of a series of topics: "You (Might) Don't Need a ${libraryName}". In this talk, I'll cover the beautiful browser APIs to work with URLs. I'll demonstrate how they work and which quite popular libraries can be avoided.
# Oleksandr Tryshchenko β Addressing Performance Issues in Any Framework
It's easy to forget about performance issues when you look at your top-notch Macbook, but it doesn't mean they're not there for your customers.
I want to share with you our experience of tackling performance issues:
- Observability. Which metrics to harvest and how to know your performance isn't good
- Debugging. The tooling and methodologies of identifying performance issues.
- Concepts. What programming concepts are behind all modern front-end frameworks, which mistakes do people make, and how to fix them.
# Kilian Valkhof β Stop using JavaScript for that: moving features from JS to CSS and HTML
Common patterns implemented with JavaScript are being replaced with "native" CSS and HTML equivalents that end up being more performant, more accessible and more resilient. Features like accordions, Autosuggest, smooth scrolling, dialogs, parallax scrolling and more no longer need JavaScript to work. We'll walk through common JS features that now have CSS and HTML equivalents that you can use, or will soon be able to use.
# Sri Rangan β Code Reviews & Negotiations
What sales negotiations can teach us about tricky code-review scenarios
β
And don't forget β JSNation 2022 is coming up on June 16 & 20 in a hybrid format! Attend in person and meet the developers who shape the now and the future of the prospering JavaScript nation.
