How To Get Value From Data Science - From Production to Beyond

Join us on January 22th for Dataiku's next meetup in Berlin. Listen to two fascinating talks while enjoying a view over Berlin from the 20th floor of Atrium Tower. This time with no other guest speaker than Sparkasse! Talk 1: From Zero to Production: Deploying Machine Learning Models in a Legacy Banking Environment With an eye on gaining a competitive edge in the marketplace, banks intend to drive customer engagement with data analytics. By analyzing their clients' economic activities, it is possible to detect patterns and behavior to offer personalized, tailor-made financial products to enhance customer satisfaction. However, the challenge lies in the banks' legacy systems, which can impede the ability to unlock the value of the data they already hold. In his talk, Marco will present a real-world example of predictive modeling in banking. He will highlight the used modeling practice and provide practical advice on the deployment process in a production banking environment. Additionally, Marco will explore some best practice techniques on how to tackle data science projects. Speaker Bio: Marco Bahrs is currently a data scientist in Sparkasse Rating und Risikosysteme GmbH Data Analytics team, where he has applied machine learning techniques to predict customer buying behavior. Together with the team, he aims to change the way the Sparkasse banks operate via data-driven analytics. Marco is a trained experimental physicist with a strong background in information technology and system architecture. Talk 2: Operationalization of Data Science: The Next Challenges Sofiane Fessi, Solution Architect at Dataiku, reviews the key things to keep in mind when you're working on your design-to-deployment pipeline underlying the specificities of Data Science Projects. Are the type of skills, which are required to build the model, actually, the type of skills that you need to deliver great business value? Speaker Bio: Sofiane is Solution Architect at Dataiku, working with clients to maximise the impact DSS can have to their organisation. Prior to joining Dataiku, Sofiane was working as a Data Scientist specialised in Digital Marketing, working with leading international and UK brands such as Adidas, BMW, Tesco, Zoopla.. As always we will end the event with some networking, pizza, and drinks! Don't forget to RSVP! See you there! P.S.: Would you like to speak at our next event?
