Dear Analyzers!,
For our winter challenge, we are very excited to announce our partnership with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity to help bring more homes for deserving families by harnessing the power of data!
Join fellow Analyzers as we take a collaborative deep-dive with a leading Twin Cities Social Change organization and deliver an outstanding analytics solution using advanced algorithms to help maximize their social impact!
New to this challenge, we are experimenting with a cooperative, rather than competitive format. The idea is for the teams to cooperate on feature engineering, 3rd party data and analysis approaches. Monthly meetups will be used to test competing ideas, do some live “hacking” and then come to consensus on the best approach going forward.
The Grand Finale will be part presentation, part handoff to Habitat and part awards ceremony (recognizing key contributions to the final product) – all while enjoying upgraded food and drink!
We believe this new format will result in a higher quality solution being offered to Habitat while also creating an environment more conducive to learning.
