This is a group for singles 45 and over that live in the Andover area who enjoy good food, fun activities, and good company and seek others with whom to enjoy them. We will have a range of interesting events from meals at area restaurants to museum visits to potlucks with and without discussions and games nights to easy hikes in the local nature preserves to who knows what else. The plan is to have an event once a month and see how it goes.
Addison Gallery of American Art at Philips Academy
This month, we return to the Addison Gallery of American Art (http://www.andover.edu/museums/addison/Pages/default.aspx) on the Philips Academy (http://www.andover.edu/Pages/default.aspx) campus in Andover. As in previous visits, we will spice things up a bit by having an activity provided by the museum. We will gather in the Museum Learning Center for a meet and greet before venturing out into the exhibit halls.
If we are not tired of each other by the end, we can go to a nearby restaurant for a bite to eat.
1. From Rt. 495, take exit 41 (= Rt. 28 S.) in Andover.
2. Proceed south on Rt. 28 through downtown Andover.
3. Phillips Academy is approximately one mile south of the center of town.
4. Turn left onto Chapel Avenue.
5. The museum is the first building on the right.
Parking can be sparse, so coming a bit early is advised.
