Android Budapest - November: Continuous Integration and Preventing Regression
Details
In a mobile environment, it is critical to move fast and release updates regularly, while also maintaining quality. If there are multiple developers working on a project, it can be valuable to use a continuous integration tool to help automate the process of building the project, creating releases, check code quality with lints and tests, and make sure new additions or changes don't break existing behavior.
This November we would like to explore some options in Android development for how we can utilize the benefits of CI, and how we can simplify the process of making UI tests.
We will have two talks:
• Anna Bátki (Bitrise) - What YOU can learn from 5 million Android builds on Bitrise
There is no “one Android dev process to rule them all”, or is there? Based on insights into 5 million Android builds, Anna Bátki will tell you how the world builds. What are the most popular tools? Do we do UI testing? What do the most effective development processes actually look like? These and more questions are answered in a data driven talk that’ll - at worst - provide you with a window into how the folks next door tackle code coverage and - at best - transform the way you build.
• Pál Matolay (Makery) - Moccacino (Espresso + Kakao)
Kakao by Agoda is a Kotlin DSL for Espresso to make UI testing easier. This talk will show you how it works, how to use it, and what are the advantages and disadvantages of the library.

Bitrise will be hosting us this time, and they are also nice enough to provide the food and drinks for the event!
Also, during this event, we will hold a special giveaway between our participants! Those who attend the event will be eligible for receiving a book from Ray Wenderlich, "Kotlin Apprentice"! The book is provided by Márton Braun, thank you for the opportunity, and supporting our meetup!
The event is free, but requires registration due to limited space.
Doors open @ 18:30, talks begin @ 19:00!
