Android Worldwide September 2020 🌍

Details
🤝 For this September we are joining forces again with Android Worldwide, but this time we will have our own mini-event as part of a series of meetups, each in the appropriate time zone of the hosting group. We actually co-host our mini-event with GDG Osijek too! So you can not only attend our online sessions, but join others as well and get to know people from the other side of the globe!
Android Worldwide is an international collective of developer communities who like to put on a recurring special event for Android Devs, and related engineering specialties.
In July we tried having one event for everyone… and that was great, but not everyone could join because some were still working, or for others it was the middle of the night.
This time around, we really want to be more accommodating. So, instead of one event, there are three. Each one caters to different time zones, and you are free to attend whichever one you like - no restrictions.
Each event is led by a different team of community organizers, and each of them carefully picked speakers from their own regions. Paired with fantastic content (🤞), we want to emphasize the importance of having a tighter social fabric.
For that we've selected a special video conferencing software made by Remo.co and set aside plenty of time for friendly conversation between you and your fellow community members from around the globe.
You are welcome to register here, on Meetup, where we're emphasizing the event that's most convenient for our community. But, to get access to the call, and to be aware of the other two events as well, please register on Eventbrite - don't worry, it's free:

📜 Schedule (CEST time zone):
18:30 to 19:00 - Introductions and socializing
19:00 to 19:30 - First talk
19:30 to 19:45 - Short break
19:45 to 20:15 - Second talk
20:15 - Closing and more socializing
🔷 Talk #1: Developing an Open-Source Accessibility Library For Android by Filip Babić
In this talk, we'll go over how I developed a library for accessibility, that detects which issues your application has, and gives you a detailed report of how to fix them. We'll discuss how the algorithm works, and what kinds of issues it can detect and through which methods.
🔷 Talk #2: Gradle, the Ultimate Alligator(Delegator) by Tom Koptel
Did you wonder about the magic that Gradle introduces and how it works? Well, you are not alone. In this talk, we will cover different topics and quirks related to using Gradle as our build tool. How do Gradle scripts get configured? How can you centralize dependencies across multi-project builds? How can you debug third party plugins (e.g. the Android Gradle Plugin)? How can you debug your own custom plugin? What is rich version management? We'll look at all that, and a few common dos and don'ts in Gradle.
But the fun doesn’t actually end here @ midnight (CEST) GDG Android Columbus will start their mini-event:
