Women of Technology Pitch & Mentor Night

Don't let the world out there fool you...women are building some kick-ass technology companies!

Join us at Alley NYC and hear from amazing women in the industry as they fill us in on the technology ventures that they have been a part of and the lessons they learned.

We'll conclude by offering all attendees the opportunity to share their ideas and projects and get feedback and maybe even some help from women pioneering the industry. You'll be able to network with likeminded individuals, and seek the wisdom you or your startup have been looking for.

This event is open to both women and male allies!

Speakers and presenters:

Lisa Qu, Co-Founder of FIBO (a winner in the Unchain the Frame Competition) will speak about building a company out of a hackathon prototype while not being young, a techie by background and a first time hackathon participant. She will speak on overcoming personal obstacless to make FIBO a reality.

Sabine Blair, Independent Contractor at AWS will speak on tech in a corporate perspective and letting statistics define how you apply and operate within a tech company. Sabine has worked at a number of tech organizations in a variety of tech roles. Sabine works as an independently contracted, Amazon Web Services focused Sr. Cloud Engineer. She architects code deployments pipelines, networks and online security infrastructure for several fortune 500's which include but are not limited to Thomson Reuters, NBC, and Coca Cola. Past employment includes being an Systems Administrator for 2K and Rockstar games online platform engineering teams.
