Leeds LGBTQ+ Angels

Angels of Freedom is an LGBTQ+ community organisation based in Leeds, creating opportunities for connection, friendship, wellbeing and support since 2017.

We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, welcome and part of a community.

Through a varied programme of social, cultural, sporting and wellbeing activities, we bring together LGBTQ+ people from across Leeds and West Yorkshire, including those who may be isolated, new to the area, seeking asylum, or looking to connect with others who share similar experiences.

Our events range from football sessions, socials and community meals to outdoor wellbeing activities, workshops, cultural events and celebrations throughout the year. Whether you're looking to meet new people, improve your wellbeing, try something different or simply spend time with others in an inclusive environment, you'll find a warm welcome here.

Alongside our community activities, we work in partnership with local charities, community groups, public services and businesses to increase awareness of issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities and to help create a more inclusive and supportive city for everyone.

In this group, we'll share opportunities to get involved in Angels of Freedom activities, hear about community events from trusted partners, and help you discover new ways to connect, belong and thrive.

New members, first-time attendees, allies and people from all backgrounds are welcome.
