Publishing your JavaScript library as open source is one thing, maintaining it is much harder. Helping developers use your library correctly eliminates both developer frustration and unnecessary Github issues. As the TypeScript community gets larger (especially with the release of Angular), it's become worth adding type declarations to your JavaScript libraries, even if you didn't write the library code itself with TypeScript.
In this talk, I'll walk you through how to publish TypeScript types for your open source projects. I'll share best practices, lessons learned by a personal case study, and the pitfalls so you can avoid them. Real world code examples will be explained, so that you're prepared to write your own.
