Greetings Fellow AngularJS Enthusiasts,
Tuesday July 30th will be the Toronto AngularJS Meetup Summer Social.
Doors open at 6:30pm, and the event will wrap up at 9pm.
This one will be simple - beer and pizza (courtesy of Uken games), socializing and one or two tech talks.
The meetup will be at Uken Games, conveniently found on King Street just west of St. Andrew station. Uken presented on using AngularJS for cross-platform mobile game development at the first Toronto AngularJS meetup.
We have a capacity of 70 people, so please keep your RSVP up-to-date. Additional RSVPs will be wait listed.

7:00 Uken Intro and Demo of Game
7:10pm AngularJS 1.2 Preview and Interactive Tutorial (15min)
Matias Niemelä who works with the Google AngularJS core team, and who presented on ngAnimate at our first meetup, will discuss the upcoming AngularJS 1.2 release and showcase the new interactive tutorial.
7:30pm AngularJS Case Study: Kira Talent (30min)
Summary of talk:
What is Kira Talent (show product) Why did we need to use a front-end JS framework (what problem were we trying to solve) Why did we pick AngularJS (pros/cons vs. alternate solutions) How did we implement it (deep technical dive) Learnings, shortcomings (post-mortem - what we wish we had known) Tips/advice for anyone who is starting with AngularJS Kira Talent Speakers:
Collin Fair: Originally from Calgary, Collin has done a wide range of web development at companies ranging from the Canadian Pacific Railway to Replicon. At Kira Talent, Collin is blazing new trails into mobile development, and in his spare time, Collin is a photographer and a scientist.
Kavi Kistnasamy: Kavi's background ranges web development at the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology to software engineering at Freshbooks. At Kira Talent, Kavi handles full-stack development, ranging from optimizing video conversion to implementing our front-end in AngularJS.
Konrad Listwan-Ciesielski: Konrad's background ranges from data science at Nuance in Montreal, to full-stack software engineering at Minted in San Francisco. Konrad is a co-founder of Kira Talent, and leads product and technology.
