The Big Sky - Animal Death Doula Training
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could aid our pets to have a truly peaceful transition at the end of their life? Wouldn't it be amazing if we had a new way of supporting our loved ones and clients when they experience the death of their pet? This is why I created this one of a kind of workshop based on my many years of experience working with dying pets and their humans. In this training you will get tools to have a more integrated experience during the end of life process. Our topics include: – Creating a compassionate and inclusive culture for the end of life – The partnership between humans and their pets – The different phases of dying – Tools of discernment: our pain – our pet's pain – Holding Space – Holistic end of life care – Creating meaningful rituals – Coping with pet loss – Supporting pet guardians during pet hospice – Supporting pet guardians during euthanasia – Supporting pet guardians after the death of their pet – Self Care Please send me a message after you sign up. Then you will get detailed information about this one of a kind workshop. Hope to see you there! March 30, 2019 from 10 to 3 pm March 31, 2019 from 1 to 5 pm Registration $195 if paid in full by February 15, late registration is $225

What we're about

This is a support group for people who are caring for aging and ailing animals and folks who are involved in animal hospice care. We also welcome friends whose animals have crossed over and other interested parties.

We explore what kind of physical, emotional and spiritual support we and our animals need during this time close to the end of their life and after their passing. We also talk about the "who, what, where and how" options of care such as pain management, routes of treatment, euthanasia, natural death and so on. Additionally we focus on deepening our spiritual connection with our pets. There is usually a guided meditation or a special ceremony for a departed animal friend.

Many of our members whose animals have crossed over, continue to participate actively in our group and lend support.

If you are interested in learning more about animal hospice care, you are most welcome!
