This situation is making my heart break. An elderly couple in Homestead rescued these three dogs over three years ago from the street. They have been living with them ever since. They are completely vetted and they fixed them all. The landlord recently found out that they were there because a neighbor complained that they were outside and whined too much. He told them they had to get rid of them. The elderly woman begged a friend of a friend to keep them in a cement room in the outside yard for a week so that she didn't have to bring them to animal control. They are crying for their owners and the elderly woman is beside herself with grief. They have no money to move.

The dogs are all females.
Roko is the small gray terrier, 18 lb, female, fixed, 4yo
La Nina is the white lab doodle type, 28 lb, female , fixed 4yo
Laika is the gorgeous shepherd/lab mix, 5yo, female , fixed and about 60 lbs.

They all are good with cats and dogs and small kids.

I know we all hear horrible , depressing stories everyday in our rescue world, but these are breaking my heart.
If anyone can help by adopting, or even giving a good foster home to get them out of the cement enclosure, please call Terry [masked] or Kathy [masked]
