Fwd: Fw: [Florida-Voices-for-Animals] Reminder: It is almost time for the most wonderful annual event in Tampa Bay!

You know what that is, of course. It's Tampa Bay Veg Fest. Saturday, October 19th, at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, 601 Old Water Street, Tampa, across from the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

The board members of Florida Voices for Animals and all the magical beings we could muster  (there are many such in the animal rights community) have been working INSANELY HARD over the past few months to ensure that this year's Veg Fest will delight, inform, satisfy, and amaze.

  • It would be worth coming just for the food. OMG. We have an AMAZING variety of great food vendors this year! Middle Eastern. Indian. Mexican. Thai. Vietnamese. You name it. All cruelty free and DELICIOUS. NOM NOM NOM!
  • Or the music. It would be more than worth coming just for the incredible WORLD MUSIC concert that will be going on all day on our music stage--music from India, Ireland, Turkey, Mexico, way DOWN UNDER, and everywhere in-between! Betta bring yo' dancin' shoes!
  • Of course, we have a GREAT lineup of speakers this year, vegan television superstar Jane Velez-Mitchell, the brilliant Drs. Neal Barnard and Milton Mills of PCRM, vegan body builder and author Robert Cheeke, the profound cancer expert and dietician George Eisman, and Ellen Jaffe Jones, author of Eat Vegan on $4.00 a Day.
  • And films. Vegucated. Planeat. The Paw Project. Bethany's Story. The Witness. Peaceable Kingdom. Farm to Fridge. An amazing, moving, informative line-up!
  • And there will be 100s of Earth-friendly and animal-friendly vendors and organizations sharing their goodies and their wisdom.
  • And admission, the music, the films, the speakers are ALL FREE!!!

How is that even possible? We ask ourselves that all the time! :)

So don't miss this. It's going to be a breathtakingly great time in the park in celebration of World Farm Animals Day. Brought to you by the crazily hard-working activists and do-gooders at Florida Voices for Animals. Do those people EVER sleep? (Well, truth be told, in the weeks before Veg Fest, they don't.)

Bring your pet (on a leash). Bring your significant other (on a leash if you want). Bring your whole extended clan of friends, family. Hell, bring your whole neighborhood with you. This event is the one crunchy granola-y tree-hugging animal-lovin' event NOT TO MISS!!! Get your green on at Veg Fest.

Until every cage is empty,

Bob
