Yes, we are having a June meetup! We've got two great talks lined up on very different topics this month:
Nan Hanagud will be giving an Introduction to Prophet, an open source time series forecasting tool by Facebook available in R and Python.
Andrew Moore will demonstrate how RMarkdown can be extended as a report writing tool to produce inline citations and reference sections for technical and academic writing. The talk closes with a brief tutorial on how to adjust formatting for word documents produced by pandoc/knitr.
Please note the new time; 6:30pm instead of our usual 7pm.
About our Speakers
Nan Hanagud recently started as a Business Intelligence Principal at XPO, where she plans to use R for proof-of-concept type projects. Nan has Master's degrees in applied & computational math and operations research.
Andrew Moore has a BA in psychology and works at the University of Michigan School of Social Work as a data analyst. He is one of the Ann Arbor User Group's co-organizers.
After the Talks
As always, we hope you'll join us for food, drinks, and chitchat after our presentations; location TBD (but always within walking distance).
