We are very excited to invite you to join us for our 4th Apache Ignite Meetup hosted by IHS Markit.
IHS Markit will present first on how they have been using Apache Ignite on several major projects. The 2nd part of the meetup will be led by Mandhir Gidda, GridGain's new EMEA Solution Architect who's been working with in-memory technologies for nearly 10 years.

A user of Apache Ignite for over 6 years, IHS Markit has recently completed two major scale-up projects architected around Ignite / GridGain. Some of the developers involved in these projects would like to share their experience with the Ignite community, the good and the bad. In particular go through limitations & pitfalls they experienced, and how to work around them to design stable and scalable applications using Ignite.
One of the projects covered is a major re-architecture of IHS Markit’s Portfolio Valuations platform, which transformed a legacy batch-based system into their new real-time OTC derivatives pricing platform, involving vast amounts of distributed complex calculations triggered from market and trade data events. They will also share how they used AWS to parallelize their computations beyond their on-premises GridGain infrastructure.
Advertising and Marketing technology is characterised by the need to integrate with numerous different types of data source, to data that is both ‘big’ and ‘fast’, and to process this data in real-time to make decisions on relevant content delivery. Mandhir will take a quick look at some of the intrinsic features of Apache Ignite that enable integration with diverse data sources, making Apache Ignite suitable platform to create a targeted content delivery platform.
