I am willing to host a Modern Hebrew language meetup at my house however, we will need an instructor. I am currently at Bet level 1, which means I am low intermediate. I have a pretty large vocabulary, but we will need someone that can provide us with structured weekly lessons, homework assignments and understanding grammar. This group is intended for Aleph level 4 and up (advanced beginner). Perhaps advanced speakers can assist the beginner to intermediate level students. The objective of this group is to attain advanced level conversational fluency. We meet on Saturday or Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm. Perhaps each week, we can all chip in a few dollars to pay the instructor a negotiable amount for their time and effort. For all of us, this will be much cheaper than taking a class or hiring a private tutor. We could also include appetizers and drinks, as this would be a casual social event. No English speaking allowed! Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks, Connie Moriarty
The Apex Modern Hebrew Meetup membership is growing, but we haven't yet had an actual meeting. As I've spoken with a few members over the phone, there have been some suggestions that we move our meeting spot to some place more centrally located meaning--to a venue adjacent to the beltline between Cary and Raleigh. I think this is an excellent idea, as this will encourage rsvps more consistently and assist us in getting momentum going. Could I please hear your suggestions regarding coffeeshops, restaurants or breweries that you have in mind that would be ideal for our meetings (somewhere near Crossroads, or Crabtree Mall, maybe somewhere near NCSU campus or Glenwood Ave)??? As always, please feel welcome to call me so we can chat about ideas- 323-696-5203. Thank you for your suggestions and participation : )
