6:20pm - Deploying your JavaScript Apps with Kubernetes – Ravi Lachhman
As Kubernetes becomes the key target environment across many organizations, it automatically becomes an essential topic for developers. This quick tutorial will teach you how to set up a developer-focused pipeline you can use to deploy and manage your JavaScript applications on Kubernetes without dealing with the underlying infrastructure-related complexities.
Ravi Lachhman is the Field CTO at Shipa. Prior to Shipa, Ravi was an Evangelism Leader / Chief Architect at Harness. Ravi has held various sales and engineering roles at AppDynamics, Mesosphere, Red Hat, and IBM helping commercial and federal clients build the next generation of distributed systems. Ravi is obsessed with Korean BBQ and will travel for food.
7:30pm - Microservices with Meteor – Jan Künster
Meteor is often regarded a a monolith framework, but did you know you can build microservices with it? Microservices built with Meteor are fast and efficient. This live session tutorial covers creating the (headless) application, DDP connections and authenticated requests.
Jan Künster has been developing software with Meteor since 2015/2016 and contribute to community packages since ~2019. Find him on Github at https://bit.ly/JK-GIthub or https://bit.ly/lea-online, and read his technical articles at https://bit.ly/JK-devto
