What we're about
Appleton WI’s very own community workshop: Appleton Makerspace!
We are a group of people located in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin, interested in being creative, learning, and generally creating or making things.
Bring your ideas, meet others interested in building ideas. Our membership is diverse, and members work on projects ranging from electronics and computer programming, to woodworking and metalworking. Whether you’re programming your Arduino or Raspberry Pi, putting together a 3D printer, or building a desk, we’re the place to be.
We currently have Wi-Fi, 3D printers, a Shapeoko, a CNC Mill, and workspace. Our Wood Shop includes: a drillpress, tablesaw, chopsaw, bandsaw, belt/ circular sander, drills/ handsanders, clamps, glue, etc… We also have a few tools for metal-working available, and are in the process of setting up a dedicated Metal Shop. Our membership includes a wide variety of clever people with unique specialties, and our resources are expanding all the time!
We are a not-for-profit organization supported by member fees, and encourage you to consider a membership (http://appletonmakerspace.org/membership/), but we are also are open to the public and prospective members through our public events (http://appletonmakerspace.org/calendar/), so feel free to stop by! If you can’t make it over to see us, you could also view or join the discussion group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/dhmn-discussion).
