This group is for those who are excited about Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Bioengineering (Bio). Members of this group include professionals, entrepreneurs, students, researchers, investors, and representatives from companies, industry bodies, media, and government. Building Voice-Enabled Experiences with Amazon Alexa

In this workshop, participants will get an overview of the technology behind Amazon Alexa and Echo, learn the fundamentals of voice design, and get introduced to the tools used to build Alexa skills. They will also get hands-on and build skills using some of the new APIs. PREREQUISITES: Each participant must carry his/her own laptop and have Amazon developer account as well as a VERIFIED AWS account created in advance, so as to not spend time doing that in the workshop. Basic programming knowledge is required but anyone with an interest to build for Alexa is welcome to attend.
