Our informal classes, user groups, and shared expertise will help you develop the skills you need to finally start your dream project.

Summer class for students entering grades 6 - 8 July 6 - 10, 12:30 - 4:00pm Early and Late pickup available Summer class for students entering grades 6 - 8 July 6 - 10, 12:30 - 4:00pm Early and Late pickup available This camp is all about learning by doing. Kids are given projects to build and materials and tools to create those projects. Then they go to work under adult supervision. Projects focus on different aspects of flight. Kids' creations are then tested to see what worked well and what didn’t. In the process kids will learn about scientific concepts like Newton's laws, density, and buoyancy. Some of the projects kids will be working on include: rubber band and tissue paper airplanestissue paper hot air balloonhovercraftsmodel rocketsmatch rocketsstomp rocketsinflatable fortsand more!Please note: Under adult supervision your child will be working with potentially dangerous tools, including but not limited to: exacto knives, super glue, and a hot styrofoam cutter.
