Saturday February 8th, 1pm - 2:30pm
4536 S. Terrace Rd.
Tempe, AZ 85282

The title says it ALL!!! In this seminar we will build a couple raised beds right in front of you and then FILL THEM! A raised bed garden looks great, keeps plants warmer in the winter months, allows for healthier soil (making healthier plants), and can be made out of anything! In this class we will be discussing and showing you a few different ways to make/build a perfect raised bed for your home! We will also be discussing soil including compost, peat moss, coconut coir, vermiculite, rice hulls, trace minerals, AZOMITE, sea minerals, worm castings, gypsum, compost tea, and manure. Jake Mace will also give you his inside track of the best places to purchase edible trees and seedlings to plant in your garden!

We are asking for a $10 donation for this class per person and we will be including Garden and Edible Tree tour of our Tempe Homestead as well. Everyone will also go home with a package of seeds to plant (Loofa and Egyptian Spinach).

Bring a friend, feel free to video and/or take pictures, bring questions, bring notes, and let's get inspired to plant an amazing Spring 2014 Garden! We can feed ourselves and create a beautiful garden right in our backyard!
