Abstract: SQL Server 2017 continues the momentum towards making SQL Server a platform that gives developers a choice of languages, deployment options (on-premises and cloud), and operating systems by bringing the power of SQL Server to Linux, Linux-based Docker containers, and Windows. Come join Microsoft Technology Specialist, Josh Sivey, as we take a look at what is new in SQL Server 2017. Whether you are interested in running SQL Server on Linux, Graph database support, adaptive query processing, or doing advanced analytics in R or Python, this session will be packed with fun demos and discussion.

Speaker Bio: Josh Sivey is a Microsoft Certified Professional with over fifteen years of experience delivering solutions using Microsoft technologies. He enjoys helping empower users to unlock the power of data using the Microsoft data platform. Josh is a Technology Solutions Professional with Microsoft. In his free time, he enjoys saving Hyrule from the clutches of Ganon with his son and playing My Little Ponies with his daughter.
