Learn how GoDaddy built its managed WordPress platform - October 22, 2015

Dear WordPress developers,

Please join us for this month's Advanced Developer Meetup on Thursday October 22 from 7-9pm at the Skyhook offices. This meetup is held on the 4th Thursday of the month at the same location. The vision for this meetup is to provide local WP developers with the education, support and networking opportunities we need to be successful in our careers. Each month we’ll bring in one or two really solid speakers to provide mind-blowing content, bookended with networking and sharing/hacking time. Oh, and we'll have sponsors to provide food & drinks as well.

Don't miss our 2015 meetup season finale! Adam Sink from GoDaddy is an INCREDIBLY talented developer, and he'll be giving us an inside look at how GoDaddy's WordPress platform was built and how it rose to become the world's largest managed WordPress host.

This month’s lineup:

Managing Managed WordPress - Adam Sink (GoDaddy)
A look at how we designed and grew our Managed WordPress product at GoDaddy. Best practices, pitfalls, lessons learned, and a look toward the future as the largest Managed WordPress host.

Adam Sink is the Development Manager for the Managed WordPress product at GoDaddy. A twelve year GoDaddy employee, he has worked on everything from racking servers to email to dedicated and shared hosting. Adam is a customer focused and passionate advocate for WordPress, spreading the good word about the software that powers nearly a quarter of the web within GoDaddy and attending WordCamps to represent GoDaddy to the community.

Guided discussion
Following the presentation, we’ll brainstorm topics that are of interest to the meetup and explore further presentation & discussion. If a topic is particularly interesting, we’ll be looking for someone who can present on it in the following month.

Due to space constraints and a desire to keep the event intimate, registration has been limited to 40 attendees. Please register only if you are really coming so that we can keep seats open for others!

For those who can’t attend in-person, we’ll be livestreaming/recording the event through the Arizona WordPress Group website and YouTube.

For more information, or to RSVP for the event, please visit:

Hope to see you there!
