Table Read - "Harvey"
When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half-foot tall rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter, Myrtle Mae, and their family from future embarrassment. Here is a link to the script on Amazon. This event is BYOB/BYOSnacks. All skill levels are welcome. This is an adult event and there will be alcohol. (BYOB/BYOSnacks.) This is an inclusive event and all races/ages/orientations/etc. are welcome. You are welcome at this table! I look forward to seeing you all! Thank you, Wolfgang

What we're about

Arlington Actors Meetup is an inclusive group and all kind people are welcome to sit at our table. We meet multiple times a year and provide actors, entertainment professionals, and theatre-lovers of all skill levels a chance to sit down, share a meal, and read through a brilliant play. Since Arlington Actors Meetup was founded, we have explored the following works: Shakespeare’s As You Like It, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, and Much Ado About Nothing. Works we have read by other playwrights include Venus in Fur, Bug, Other Desert Cities, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, Doubt, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and the Pulitzer-Prize-winning play, Clybourne Park.
