Jan 9th gathering of Art Salon For Fertile Minds

From: Wendy B.
Sent on: Sunday, January 6, 2013 7:31 PM

WELCOME to all our new and continued members of the Art Salon For Fertile Minds. Happy New Year and we look forward to many gatherings in 2013. Just to remind you, this Art Salon is an experiment, testing to see whether the topics that intrigue us have meaning and significance beyond a select few. We seek to create a time/space within which we can stir a lively, rigorous discussion about the state of art - local, national and international - yours, mine, and ours.

Wednesday, January 9th 6:30 - 9:00pm  we'll entertain the practice of multiple art form production.  In other words...

How does an artist or would-be-artist choose their means of expression and medium?  Can/should an artist practice in more than one area: photography, painting, writing, etc?

Is it better to focus in on only one medium and work very deeply in that medium?  Or do  you follow the creative wind and dabble here and there?  Who has had experiences in either or both of these practices?  Please bring your experiences to share.

We look forward to seeing you January 9th at 6:30 p.m.  Please arrive before 6:55p.m. as the doors are on auto-lock at 7p.m.  If you do arrive late, please call the phone number posted on the door and someone will let you in.  Any questions or ideas please contact [address removed]

FEBRUARY - being the month of LOVE,  we will discuss the celebration of love in art.
