About us
Welcome! This group is part of the Art Verve Academy in Tucson, offering community, creativity, and encouragement. In addition to our broad catalog of art education, we wanted to create a supportive, informal space for locals at all levels of skill and enjoyment to gather and make art. Our meetups are free* and open to the public – usually at a coffee shop, restaurant, park, or popular Tucson location for the occasional field trip. Our people are encouraging and love to exchange ideas, tips, supplies, and techniques. Why draw at home when you can enjoy the social connection, inspiration, or personal accountability of an Art Verve meetup.
*While there is no charge to attend, we like to support local businesses such as Crave or Flower Child with our patronage. Entrance fees for our occasional field trips at locations like the zoo or botanical gardens are paid by the attendee.

In-Person Art Challenge at Sauce Pizza & Wine, March 26th, 6:00 PM
2990 N Campbell Ave, 2990 North Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ, USWe're back! Join us at Sauce Pizza & Wine in Tucson (Campbell location) for an In-Person Art Challenge. Bring your favorite (not messy) drawing tools or art supplies and I'll supply the image. We all work from the same reference photo but with our own preferred medium and personal style. I will post the image here before the meetup so you can start thinking and planning your supplies, and download the photo. As always, you're free to do your own thing and just enjoy creative community.

Practice smaller drawings, sketches, or paintings. Bring an everyday object or reference material, a sketchbook, drawing tools, and your creativity.
