We are temporarily paused due to the pandemic. Meetup may eventually shut down this particular account, but we’ll be back once it’s safe to gather.
State College is an amazing place to explore art and culture. This group is an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to get to know each other by attending community events together. Examples of events include: • Theater productions by Penn State’s School of Theatre or local community groups like Fuse Productions and State College Community Theater • National music, theatre, and dance performances brought in by the Center for the Performing Arts • Free talks on PSU’s campus by famous authors, TV personalities, journalists, politicians, and others • Free community engagement events such as salsa dancing or Taiko drumming • Cultural happenings put on by various student organizations • Comedy, live music, and movie nights at the State Theatre and other venues Although some of the events might take place on Penn State’s campus, you do not have to be associated with PSU to attend! We will only choose campus events that are open to the public. We’ll have a mix of events, including ones that are free or low cost. A fun night out with friends is priceless . . . but if we have enough people, there might be opportunities for group discounts too! The show or event we’re attending will be the main attraction for each meetup, but if time allows, we can hopefully get a drink or a bite to eat before or after. We hope you’ll join us whether you’re an arts and culture enthusiast or just looking to experience something new!
