Linda Rutenberg (http://lindarutenberg.com/), International Lady Of The Night, will be speaking at the Darkroom Gallery on Saturday May 5th 3-5 PM. Linda served as juror for the Darkroom Gallery exhibit Night Light, and will http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/1/1/f/0/event_109324592.jpegbe attending the exhibit reception the day before this talk on May 4th 5-7PM. Join Linda for a talk on her Garden at Night project: "How it began, what we do, and how we work." It is a fascinating story that Linda will illustrate with a slide show. Linda will also have some of her books for sale and signing. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Please RSVP early as we will through this open to the general public two weeks before the event.

Under cover of darkness, when most people are tucked into bed, photographer Linda Rutenberg sets out to explore the nocturnal treasures of some of the world's most famous gardens. Armed with camera, tripod and flashlights, she navigates dark, secret gardens to capture in photographs the sensual, sculptural and surprising world of plants and trees. What she has discovered is unprecedented in its uniqueness and visual drama.

Linda Rutenberg (http://lindarutenberg.com/), a Montreal-born native, who has been a photographer for 30 years. Her MFA in Photography is from Concordia University. She's taught photography and worked as a freelance photographer for thirty years. Her fine art work has been exhibited internationally. She has produced several series:- Urban Visions, Sacred Sites, Terre Caliente, One Island - Many Cities, Mont Royal - A World Apart, The Spiritual Landscape and is presently working on a nocturnal garden series.

Linda has become particularly known for her striking images of flowers taken at night, revealed in a series of books, starting with The Garden at Night: Private Views of Public Edens (2007),After Midnight (2008)and The English Garden at Night (2009).
