Arthur Storer Toastmasters - 5th Saturday @ 10:15a
Our schedule and meeting location has changed. We are now meeting on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of the month. All are welcome to our Toastmasters meetings, this is an open club. We meet at HEB #7 - NE Austin / Pflugerville ( training room. Enter the left side door (when facing HEB), once inside the store, turn right then right again and go up the stairs. It may feel like you are going in an "employee only" area, but it is fine. Walk through the open break area, the first door on your left is the training room. If it is past 10:15 and the door is closed, please come in. If someone is in the middle of a speech, just find a seat and we will greet you after they are done speaking. The majority of our Toastmaster members are not Meet-up members, so it may look like only 2 or 3 people are coming, but that is not the case. Every meeting has 10-15 attendees, sometimes as many as 20. So don't let the low RSVP number scare you away! Come join us for a morning of laughter and learning as Arthur Storer Toastmasters hosts its 1st Saturday of the month meeting at 10:15am. Read the "About Us" in the left sidebar for more information about TM and ASTM. *NOT the HEB on 685 / Dessau & 1825!!! We meet at the HEB on Wells Branch and 1825 (close to I-35).

What IS Toastmasters?

No, we don't make toast. TM is a non-profit worldwide network of clubs dedicated to teaching public speaking and leadership skills.

Anyone over the age of 18 can join Toastmasters, provided they have the desire to improve their communication and leadership skills through practice.

Beyond that, Toastmasters members are a diverse group, spanning countries and cultures, and all socio-economic backgrounds.

Choosing a Toastmasters Club

There are a lot of Toastmasters clubs all over the Greater Austin area, each with their own meeting day, time and personality. First, find a few clubs that are convenient and that fits your schedule. Second, visit a few, to find a club that fits your personality. Depending on your level of speaking experience, you may feel apprehensive or down right scared. It's ok, no one is going to force you to speak in front of the group until you are ready for that challenge.

Each club is different

Some Toastmasters clubs are closed and only available to employees of a sponsoring business. Other clubs are open to everyone 'community clubs'. Many clubs have 30+ members and others have 20 or less. Some Toastmaster clubs have a lot of DTMs (Distinguished Toastmaster Members) and some only have 1 or 2. There are clubs that have been around for decades and there are others that are new. The key to your success is to find the mix that feels right to you. Rest assured that all clubs are inviting and want to help you achieve your goals.

Arthur Storer Toastmasters Club in North East Austin / Pflugerville

Since June 1997, Arthur Storer Toastmasters has been helping people speak, lead, and succeed. Whether you're a speaking pro who needs practice space or are too afraid to stand up and tell people your name, our club is for you. We have members at all levels helping each other.

At Arthur Storers we have 9 Distinguished Toastmaster Members (that is a lot!), you may think that this would be intimidating... BUT IT'S NOT. What it does mean for a beginner is a lot of experienced mentors to help you on your journey. I have found this club to be extremely inviting and nurturing as I tackle my fear of speaking in public. They are gracious, empathetic and full of encouragement.

I would love for you to come visit our club and see if it is a good fit for you.

Q: Am I expected to Speak at my first meeting?

No. The level of participation is up to you. You will never be forced to stand up and speak. You go at your own pace, this is your journey and we are here to support you in any way we can.
