Kick off meeting: A.I. overview and the goals of our Meetup

Details

Dear AIB members,

We are announcing our kick off meeting for November 22nd at 18h30! Microsoft has been kind enough to make their space available for us to convene, at the Microsoft Innovation Center in Brussels.

This first session should provide the opportunity for us to establish, as a group, AIB's 'raison d'être', or if you will, its 'directions and guidelines'. Of course, we have some ideas of our own, but it would be most helpful if people contributed right from the very start.

We'll touch upon all kinds of topics, from Strong A.I. to applications, social implications, as well as the nitty-gritty of the foundations and techniques.

If you just want to come and relax that's fine too!

We hope this and all other meetings can take the form of relaxed, free and open discussions, instead of being just an occasion to listen to another talk.

If, on the other hand, you like to come to meetups with a clear goal, then you can also enjoy the time we will spare for an actual short talk, this time around given to us by Peter Maynard.

Peter is an Audience Evangelist at Microsoft and works closely with technical communities in Belgium and Luxembourg. He's particularly interested in how individuals and companies can leverage the latest things coming up in technology and implement them in their business / project.

For the first kick off meeting of the Artificial Intelligence Brussels Meetup Peter will provide a short presentation about the Artificial Intelligence services at Microsoft and how you can leverage these.

Hope to see you there!

P.S.: If you get an email, after you RSVP, asking to join a waiting list, you can disregard it, there's room for everyone. There will be sandwiches provided.
