Practical Machine Learning, an intro to open source h20.ai platform

We are pleased to have the author of Practical Machine Learning with H2O to introduce you to the H20 machine learning system, used by 8 out of the top 10 banks, and 7 of the top insurance companies.

In the first half, Darren will introduce the H2O machine learning system, how he found it, how it helped improve the (algorithmic trading) code he was working on at the time, and how he ended up writing the O'Reilly book for it.

In the second half, we will look at one of the key underpinnings of modern NLP (natural language processing): word embeddings. Hopefully we will get time to see a live coding demo that will give you an insight into how they work... not just in English, but also in Japanese and Cantonese, and still have time for some questions at the end.

And if that isn't enough to tempt you, I will also have a book to give away!

Dr. George Ng is passionate about Big Data analytics and wants to democratize analytics through the use of visualization tools such as Tableau. He was the founder and CEO of 2 previous startups. And most recently contributed research articles in the areas of Big Data and machine learning at Sparrho.com as a technical research writer. Join him as he gives us a walk through of what Make Over Monday is all about. And how Hong Kong can start a similar movement on story telling with data.
